2019 Pre-Conference Sessions

Registration

  • In this session, you will learn about the various tasks that can be performed and tools that can be used in
    the Administration Console. Topics covered will include Documents Online, CDD, Database Tools,
    Security, and 7i Server. This session will be from 1pm-4pm.
  • Learn best practices for budgeting beginning to end. During this session you will learn how to configure,
    load, adjust, analyze, and manage your district budgets. Concepts covered include budget preparation
    from Budget Item Detail and Position Budgeting modules, flat file interface, and direct budget update.
    This session will be from 1pm - 4pm.
  • Learn practical strategies for solving common PY Contract out of balance issues. The session will include
    a review of PY Contract concepts, setup, and pay assignments. Additionally, this session will feature
    step-by-step reconciliation procedures and a review of available reconciliation tools. This session will be
    from 1pm - 4pm.
  • Proper management of positions and allocations are becoming increasingly important in the K-12
    environment. During this pre-conference session, you will learn about all of the ways to better manage
    your allocations including position requisition, position management, position control and position
    budgeting. This session will review best practice methods and recommended ways that you can improve
    your internal processes. This session will be from 8:30am to 11:30am.
  • In this session you will learn how to turbo-charge BusinessPlus, harnessing the power of recurring
    calculations. This session will feature a best practice discussion of recurring calculations and will feature
    setup, creation, and running of recurring calculations as well as reviewing intermediate results and
    importing/exporting options. Practical examples will be demonstrated. This session will be from 8:30am
    to 11:30am.
  • This is a practical workflow building workshop. The session will include a workflow overview and best
    practice recommendations. This session will be from 8:30am to 11:30am
  • Unlock the power of visualizations using Cognos Analytics (Cognos 11)! In this session, you will learn tips
    and tricks of creating compelling dashboards that will give meaningful insight to your data in seconds.
    This session will be from 8:30am-11:30am.
  • Take this opportunity to learn how to process your payroll from start to finish using the recommended
    techniques from our eFinancePlus Professionals. This half day course will walk through each part of the
    payroll process ensuring that you know how to maximize your processes, importing timecards and
    attendance. We will also review all of the resulting reports that are available after processing payrolls.
    This session will be from 8:30am-11:30am.
  • The Personnel Activity Tracker and User Defined Screens allow users to take information stored outside
    of eFinancePlus and import it into defined screens for the purpose of creating a knowledge base for
    reporting on key topics including; FMLA Tracking, Key Dates, Position Details and Workers Comp
    incidents. This session will be from 1pm-4pm.
  • The 4.2 and 19.4 releases included several new features that are turned off by default, in order to ensure
    easy deployment. If you would like training on these new features and how they might benefit your
    district, please join us for this deep dive into how to set up and utilize this great new set of functionality.
    This session will be from 1pm-4pm.
  • In this session, you will learn how to build a master schedule from the very beginning. What you do first,
    second, etc. We will discuss how to use the tools and reports in eSchoolPlus to help you build a more
    efficient master schedule in order to maximize the number of students fully scheduled. This session
    will be from 8:30am-11:30am.

Get the most out of the conference by adding Monday Workshops!

Attend one of our half day sessions for only $250 each!  Times for the sessions will run 8:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Check-in for the pre-conference sessions will begin at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast will be provided from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Please be aware of the following: 

1. If you would like to register for more than one session, you will need to register for each session separately to reserve your seat.

2. A Purchase Order or credit card payment is required to confirm your attendance.

3. Please email your purchase order to training@powerschool.com. POs for the pre-conference sessions should be made out to PowerSchool Group LLC, 150 Parkshore Dr., Folsom, CA 95630.

4. If you would like to pay by credit card, please make your payment herePlease note that you must register for your session prior to making payment. 

Cancellation Policy:  You will need to notify PowerSchool at least 10 days prior to event if you are unable to attend your registered session.  Otherwise your district will be invoiced for the session.  Also, cancellation of registration for the Conference itself does not cancel your registration for the Pre-Conference sessions.  Please email training@powerschool.com with any cancellation notifications or questions.

Registration for a Pre-Conference session does not register you for the conference itself.
