The 'Welcome' breakfast ballroom was overflowing with members of BSNUG, SunGard and our special guests.
Highlights of the breakfast were introductions to Frank Lavelle and Tom Huber, the SunGard Team (45 of them!!) in their black shirts and tan pants. The Board were introduced in their burgundy shirts. The SUGA team in their canary yellow shirts and last, but certainly not least, the founders of Bi-Tech, Gary and Judy Sitton. Without their vision over 25 years ago, we wouldn't all be gather together here today.
Once Carol Fritsch and Rich Ober made all general announcements and "housekeeping" rules, we were split into two general sessions. Frank Lavelle led the way for the K-12 folks and highlighted BusinessPLUS, while in the next room Tom Huber highlighted ONESolution for the local government and not-for-profit clients.
It has become VERY clear that this conference is about change and adapting to the needs of customers, internal staff and meeting a lot of demands with little or no resources. We were all able to see how these products will help us meet these demands. And, as both Tom and Frank made very clear, change isn't a bad thing. In fact, it actually creates OPPORTUNITY!.
