  • This session will focus on SQL statements in WorkFlow and Security, focusing on the redesigned SQL
    Activity in WorkFlow, using the SQL list and BT20 objects in scripting, updating security roles with a
    focus on bulk updates to filter roles, and advanced Workflow Style Sheet adjustments.
    Who should take this class: BusinessPLUS Workflow and Security Admins
    This session will be from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • This session will overview everything related to Stores Inventory and how to best use this module at
    your district. This session will focus heavily on the fundamental premise that Stores Inventory is
    a sequence of events, that has an order in which things happen, driving data accuracy.
    Therefore, all maintenance and correction processing requires awareness of timing.
    Key topics will include information on managing and processing including:
    • Setups to allow options like zero on-hand ordering, interactive committing,
    backordering, automatic purchase ordering, etc.
    • Person/Entity and Stores Inventory Utilities
    • Finding and fixing negative on-hand quantities
    • Inventory value reporting
    • Adjusting inventory
    • Overview of the Stores Inventory screens
    • Pick ticket and fulfilling order exceptions
    • Warehouse count exceptions
    • Consolidated returns
    • Balance forward practices
    • Archiving to reduce history
    • Re-computing inventory balances
    • Status implications & verification
    Who should take this class: Individuals who deal with core financials and warehousing.

  • Is your district’s core Fixed Assets processes the most efficient that it can be? This session will overview
    all the new best practice methods from Account Payable to Fixed Assets. This alternative process has
    been developed where the Accounts Payable information is written to a holding place from where
    several operations (merging multiple invoice records into a single fixed asset and splitting of invoice
    lines where quantity is more than 1) can be initiated.
    This session will review the new process to create assets and how to manage them once created.
    Who should take this class: Individuals who deal with accounts payable, core financials and fixed assets.

  • Proper management of positions and allocations are becoming increasingly important in the
    K-12 environment. During this pre-conference session you will learn about all of the ways to better
    manage your allocations including position requisition, position management, position control and
    position budgeting. This session will review best practice methods and recommended ways that you
    can improve your internal processes.
    Who should take this class: human resources or budgeting professionals.
    This session will be from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

  • This session will cover techniques and best practices for upgrading your BusinessPLUS environment and
    for refreshing your Test environment with live data.
    Who should take this class: BusinessPLUS System and/or Database Administrators.
    This session will be from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
    You will be invoiced after the session has been delivered.
  • Discover all of the different and unique methods on how organizations are handling wages
    in BusinessPLUS. In this session you will learn how to setup CDH codes for all different types
    of compensation methods and how to maintain them moving forward. Topics covered will include
    payroll contracts, salaries, deferred pay, auto-timecards and positive pay methods.
    Who should take this class: Human Resources, Payroll and Technical professionals.

  • Attend this eFinancePLUS Benefits and Open Enrollment Bootcamp to drill deeper into Employee
    Benefits and Deduction Enrollment Setup and Processing Features available to your school district.
    We invite current and new users of Benefits and EAC Open Enrollment.
    This session will be from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • Attend this eFinancePLUS Human Resources Payroll Distribution and General Ledger Session to learn
    more about how Gross Wages, Benefits/Deduction Liabilities are distributed to the General and
    Expenditure Ledger during the Fund Accounting Payroll Interface. We will review best practice for
    table/field setup and discuss how districts are processing AP Voucher Payments.
    This session will be from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

  • This session will cover the basics of Behavior Incident entry and the new options available
    in the 4.1 release. This session will start with the TAC capabilities to enter and refer issues,
    move to the creation of a Behavior Incident, and explore the options for posting Attendance based
    on Actions.
    Who should take this class: District IT staff, School Administrators, Tech Coordinators, Technical Support Staff
    Recommended prior training or experience: None
    This session will be from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • Security looks different in eSchoolPLUS 4.0. Although many resources are the same, a few have been
    added to give you greater control over changes to your Master Schedule and emailing students.
    During this session, we’ll review the process of creating roles, creating users, and applying
    district-defined security to district-defined pages and programs.
    Who should take this class: District IT staff, School Administrators, Tech Coordinators, Technical Support Staff
    Recommended prior training or experience: None
    This session will be from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Get the most out of the Conference with Monday Workshops!

Attend one of our half day sessions for only $250 each!  Times for the sessions will run 8:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Check-in for the pre-conference sessions will begin at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast will be provided from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Please be aware of the following: 

1. If you would like to register for more than one session, you will need to register for each session separately to reserve your seat.

2. Since you will not be invoiced for your session(s) until they are delivered in October, you will be contacted in July for a Purchase Order made payable to PowerSchool.  A Purchase Order is required to confirm your attendance.

3. If you would like to pay by credit card, please contact Amy Knouse at amy.knouse@powerschool.com.  A credit card authorization form will be sent to you to complete and return.  

Cancellation Policy:  You will need to notify PowerSchool at least 10 days prior to event if you are unable to attend your registered session.  Otherwise your district will be invoiced for the session.  Also, cancellation of registration for the Conference itself does not cancel your registration for the Pre-Conference sessions.  Please email amy.knouse@powerschool.com with any cancellation notifications or questions.

Registration for a Pre-Conference session does not register you for the conference itself.  See links below to register for the Conference.
